Smoky Shrimp and Grits is a delicious and simple dinner. Cook shredded shrimp and serve over grits and garnish with a fried egg, salt, and pepper. This dish is an instant hit on cold nights.
Ingredients:-
- Grits 1 cup.
- Cheddar 1 cup shredded.
- 4 bacon pieces, cut into ½ inch pieces.
- 1 pound peeled and deveined medium shrimp.
- 2 plum tomatoes, chopped.
- 2 green onions, freshly chopped.
Method:-
1.First, cook the grits according to the package instructions. Mix the cheddar in well.
2.Meanwhile, cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, 6-8 minutes. Then drain on paper towels.
3.Add shrimp and tomatoes to skillet. Cook, stirring, for 3-5 minutes, until shrimp are opaque.
4.Mix in the scallions and bacon well and serve over the grits.
