Ingredients:
For the Filling:
250g ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sugar
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 cup cabbage, finely shredded
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Pot Stickers:
24 round wonton wrappers
Water (for sealing the wrappers)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)
½ cup water (for steaming)
For the Dipping Sauce:
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Filling:
In a bowl, combine ground beef, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, green onions, and cabbage.
Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Assemble the Pot Stickers:
Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface.
Add about 1 teaspoon of the beef mixture in the center.
Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half, and press to seal, creating pleats along the edge for a traditional look.
Repeat until all filling is used.
3. Cook the Pot Stickers:
Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Arrange the pot stickers in the skillet, flat side down, and cook until the bottoms are golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).
Add ½ cup water to the skillet, cover with a lid, and steam for about 5-7 minutes or until the water evaporates and the filling is cooked through.
4. Prepare the Dipping Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and chili flakes.
5. Serve:
Arrange the pot stickers on a plate and serve hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
