Barbecue Ribs
Ingredients:
2 racks of pork baby back ribs
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ribs:
Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
Season both sides generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
2. Bake the Ribs:
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down.
Cover them tightly with another piece of foil to retain moisture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone easily.
3. Apply Barbecue Sauce:
Remove the ribs from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 220°C (425°F).
Uncover the ribs and brush a generous amount of barbecue sauce on both sides.
Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized.
4. Serve:
Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing between the bones.
Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side and your favorite sides like coleslaw, cornbread, or baked beans.
Enjoy your homemade barbecue ribs!
