Barbecue Ribs
Ingredients:
2 racks of pork baby back ribs
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 cups of your favorite barbecue sauce
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ribs: Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs. This allows the flavors to penetrate better and results in more tender ribs.
2. Season: Generously season both sides of the ribs with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
3. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 150°C (300°F).
4. Bake: Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover them tightly with another piece of foil to keep them moist. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone easily.
5. Apply Barbecue Sauce: Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top foil. Brush both sides generously with your chosen barbecue sauce.
6. Grill (Optional): For a smoky flavor and caramelized sauce, finish the ribs on a preheated grill over medium-high heat for about 5-10 minutes per side, brushing with additional sauce as desired.
7. Serve: Let the ribs rest for a few minutes after cooking. Cut between the bones to separate into individual ribs and serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
Serving Suggestions: Pair these succulent ribs with classic sides like coleslaw, cornbread, or baked beans for a complete All-American meal.
Enjoy your meal!
