This delicious chocolate cinnamon bread combines rich cocoa flavor with warm cinnamon spice, making it perfect for breakfast or as an afternoon treat. It’s moist, slightly sweet, and pairs wonderfully with a cup of coffee or tea.

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1 cup buttermilk (or substitute with 1 cup milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and set it aside.

2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

3. Prepare wet ingredients: In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

4. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. If using chocolate chips, fold them in.

5. Bake the bread: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6. Cool and serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!

Tips:

For extra richness, drizzle melted chocolate over the top after cooling.

Add chopped nuts for a bit of crunch.

This bread stays fresh for up to 3 days at room temperature or can be frozen for longer storage.
