Easy Pea Soup Recipe
This homemade pea soup is creamy, flavorful, and super easy to make with just a few simple ingredients. Perfect for a cozy meal!
Ingredients:-
- 2 cups green peas (fresh or frozen)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium carrot, chopped
- 1 celery stalk, chopped
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon olive oil or butter
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- ½ cup heavy cream or coconut milk (optional, for extra creaminess)
Instructions:-
- Sauté the veggies – Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté for 3–5 minutes until soft.
- Add peas and broth – Stir in the peas and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10–15 minutes.
- Blend it up – Use an immersion blender to puree the soup until smooth. If using a regular blender, blend in batches and return to the pot.
- Season & finish – Stir in salt, pepper, and thyme. For a creamy texture, add heavy cream or coconut milk.
- Serve & enjoy – Ladle into bowls, garnish with fresh herbs or croutons, and dig in!
