Ingredients
For the crust:
1 box yellow cake mix
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
For the filling:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups (about 1 lb) powdered sugar
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
2. Make the Crust:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and egg.
Stir until it forms a soft dough.
Press this dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
3. Prepare the Filling:
In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter, and mix well.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until smooth and creamy.
4. Assemble & Bake:
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust, spreading it evenly.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden but still slightly gooey in the center.
5. Cool & Serve:
Let the cake cool completely before slicing.
Dust with extra powdered sugar if desired.
Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
