Ingredients:
1/2 pound ground beef (lean)
1/2 cup salsa (mild or spicy, as preferred)
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough (small-sized)
Optional toppings: Sour cream, chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, or sliced jalapeños
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Beef Filling:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the salsa and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
Remove from heat and set aside.
2. Prepare the Tart Shells:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Separate the biscuit dough and flatten each piece slightly.
Press each flattened dough piece into the cups of a mini muffin tin, forming small tart shells.
3. Assemble the Tarts:
Spoon the beef mixture into each dough cup.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
4. Bake and Serve:
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuit edges are golden and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
Add your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, or jalapeños.
5. Enjoy!
Serve warm as appetizers or snacks.
