Soft & Fluffy Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients:
For the Dough:
1 cup whole milk, warmed
½ cup sugar
2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
For the Filling:
¾ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
⅓ cup unsalted butter, softened
For the Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
¼ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dough:
In a bowl, mix warm milk and sugar, then add the yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
Add melted butter and eggs, mixing well.
Gradually add flour and salt, kneading until the dough is smooth and elastic (about 5–7 minutes).
Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours or until doubled in size.
2. Make the Filling & Roll the Dough:
Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Roll the dough into a 16×12-inch rectangle.
Spread softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
3. Shape & Bake:
Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces.
Place rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
4. Make the Glaze & Serve:
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
